Yesterday, it rained, poured
and the neighbour was outside
observing the soaking,
(a bit of a strange guy)
the large oak had shed it’s cover.

Winter gails swept the remains
in disorganised patterns.

Into a shed he went for assistance,
returning with hammer & nails,
began to fix whatever was ground fell,
so nothing wind stirred.

Leaves, personally, I can tack ‘em
or leaf them.
