tea infuses,
ready to pour,
small spoon stirred
not shaken.

Peppermint freshens
sincerely dry wit,
permeates through
leaves of herbal aroma;
ivy wisps up old china
on a secluded balcony.

No added milk,
no notice of the heat
which second slurps
past chiselled teeth.

Steamed nostrils
twitch from finer hairs;
one raised eyebrow
lowers. Time to refill,
Bond’s off duty.

    Yes, mint is exactly what it says on the tin, it looks refreshing, and it is, colour or taste wise.

    I always liked Connery as Bond, but also like the new Bond too,
    he gives the character a real edge in a contemporary way.

    Still, the sixties Bond movies had a real sense of style.

    I like the idea of Bond kicking back and drinking some teas instead of a just seems like something an englishman would do once away from the glitz and glam. (grin)

    Yep, you’ve got it 🙂
