A speck under the night

This night’s a lonely place,
and I think I should tell you,
before dawn shows up late,
a confidentiality aside.

I’m left to wondering,
why be witness
to the stars if they shoot alone.

A constellation could be all the pinpoints
you’d ever need to feel connected,
I’d search for one for you,

and for me.

Yet, remembering them all I can’t do,
as something bothers me still.

Perhaps, shooting stars
have partners that I never see
on my own.

Stars and moons do it to me every time! Once again a poem only you could write with that mix of intellectual and romantic introspection. It’s all you and it’s fantastic.

Bekki, that’s very kind of you to say so,
    but ambassador, you’re spoiling me!

I hope all’s well with you, and your eclectic, prolific writings. 🙂
