Note to two little catfish

If you spot above
a saucer of milk,
don’t be fooled
into taking a sip.

It’s only the lure
of a dogged fisherman
keeping company
by the silvery bob
of the moon.

The  Old Pike.

  1. nice one.
like the connection you drew between all the ‘things’ in this little one..

If you keep telling them that, Matt,
then I’ll always end up going home
with nothing to show for it,
    except blood-stained empty hands,
stinky fingers, and a stringer full
    of unfortunate hangovers.

I do like your doggone poem, though,
even if it does smell a little fishy.

    lol Uncle Tree.

  4. Matt says:

UT, I say give pisces a chance, I mean give peace a chance. Oh, you know what I mean.

  5. Uncle Tree says:

Peace gets boring, and that’s the reason why
I’m worried a bit about Heaven. I think
    I’d rather be fishing.

  6. Matt says:

I’m sure heaven has an angle on that one.

  7. nectarfizz says:

Oy the pun never end with you two trawlers!

  8. Matt says:

Trawlers? Now you’ve really set the can amongst the dancing sardines.
